This 8 Network 960H Digital Video Recorder has a 1TB hard drive and the system includes 4 cameras. You can hook 8 cameras up to this system but note it comes with 4. It shoots in 960H widescreen SD format. The picture quality is pretty clean and you can see up to 25m (82 foot) at night.
It is not necessary to connect to the internet to watch or record your footage as you can do that with a tv or monitor hooked to the DVR. You can although watch you footage over the internet via SwannLink Peer to Peer technology.
