This “smart” home security system from Scout works seamlessly with their APP, keeping you in control of your alarm system and your response at all times. The heart of the Scout system is the base station which acts as the hub and you connect your wireless router to it. From here it communicates with each of the sensors, and uses WI-FI and the cell network to send alerts or messages.

RFID SENSORS

Each door sensor has a RFID reader built in. These are used when you don’t have your smartphone or wireless devices near hand, you then use the  RFID keychain fobs to arm and disarm the system.These sensors will trip the alarm once it’s armed if they detect any opening or closing of the doors.

The motion sensors are ideal for securing rooms with glass doors and full length wide windows. They are great for securing multiple entry points in one room so you don’t need more than one sensor.

If the power goes out your Scout alarm has a battery back up. Also great if the power gets cut by a criminal. Your alarms stays up. The hub and the sensors you get with this system are white discreet and exquisitely designed. They look more like an ultra modern surround sound speaker system than an alarm. The 3G will also work if the internet goes down, so you have dual protection here to monitor your home from afar.
